Singing with Saplings
Ages 18 -36 months
Singing with Saplings is a 45-minute group class for little ones 18-36 months with a caregiver. As babies start to grow stronger, move and walk & talk, music continues to enhance their joy and day-to-day discovery. They’re naturally starting to feel the beat and discover their voice so music is an integral part of their growth and development. Together with their grown-up they will get excited about songs and rhythms and recognize tunes as we reinforce different musical ideas. Activities range from sitting to standing to swaying to marching and more!

Songs for Seedlings is a 45-minute group class for babies age 0/1 with a caregiver. Early childhood music is a vital part of the initial bond created with your baby! Structured in its approach, classes are both fun and stimulating - through nursery rhymes, tickles, finger play, bouncing songs and sound discovery, the goal is to provide you with lots of musical ideas to take home. Nourishing the connection between caregiver and child is a priority but the programming for this age & stage is actually rooted in cognitive development. Specific 'twin skills' of focus are Attention, Memory, Cognitive Flexibility and Perception. Without getting too scientific, you will feel and see the benefits in your consistency and willingness to participate as the caregiver. You will soon recognize what elements your child really enjoys and responds to.
Music Explorers Ages 3-6
Music Explorers for ages 3-6 is an unparented 45-minute class where we sing, move, play and groove! We use a diverse range of instruments and manipulatives to experience different timbres and sounds, and many of our songs & games guide students to think of and confidently offer their ideas. I incorporate SEL (Social/Emotional Learning) and ASL (American Sign Language) as much as possible to further their ability to communicate and express themselves. Children are learning multiple music and developmental concepts through activity and reinforcement, and also awareness of each other with positive interaction. This is a wonderful small-group experience for children also entering larger classroom settings.
