About Tina
Tina has always been very passionate about music. She was accepted into the Vocal division of the Performing and Visual Arts Program at Central Memorial Highschool, and Graduated three years later with a Certificate of Fine and Performing Arts from the CBE. During her years in the program, she sang in three different school ensembles, and did multiple solo performances. In 2023, Tina traveled to Halifax with the CMHS Concert Choir for the Atlantic Music Festival, where they won a gold medal for their performance.
In 2022, Tina also began singing with the Youth Singers of Calgary, and has participated in many of their biannual performances at the Jubilee auditorium. She is excited to go on tour with YSC, in the summer of 2026, to Peru.
At the age of 19, Tina has just finished her first year as a music student at the University of Calgary. Her favorite classes this year were Musical Cultures of the World with Dr. Rod Squance, and Diatonic Harmony with Dr. Joelle Welling. The class she is most looking forward to in the coming semester is World Music Ensemble, which is also taught by Dr. Rod Squance.
