Aiden O'Grady

Aiden started his musical journey with piano lessons at the age of 4. When he was 11, he made the switch to guitar, and music has continued to be his biggest passion. From small band gigs playing guitar to sold-out orchestral concerts playing upright bass, Aiden has been performing for most of his life and has been sharing his knowledge and love for music with students for the past 5 years. Under the mentorship of Sheila Garrett, former Assistant Principal bassist of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, he completed his RCM Level 10 exam for double bass in 2021 before pursuing his Bachelor's degree in music at the University of Calgary. Since then, he has continued to perform and make recordings as a guitarist and bassist with various groups.

Aiden is gentle, friendly, and a soft-spoken teacher. Together with the student (and guardians if relevant), he will determine what the musical goals are and use his experience as both a musician and teacher to help attain positive results and musical satisfaction! It is really important to Aiden to maintain a fun and relaxing environment. He has taught students of all ages and skill levels and is devoted to sharing his enthusiasm with them.
